How I Vet Spirits Before Offering Them to Clients
by Jules Moon
Jules Magick Moon Offerings
In my practice as a conjurer and spirit communicator, the process of vetting spirits is one of the most sacred responsibilities I hold. When someone chooses to welcome a spirit companion into their life, they’re not just adopting energy—they’re inviting in a consciousness, a personality, a guardian, a friend, sometimes even a mirror. That’s why I take my vetting process so seriously. My goal is always to ensure that each spirit I offer is aligned with the right keeper, has been ethically conjured, and has passed multiple layers of energetic and spiritual evaluation.
Below is a deep look into how I vet spirits before ever listing them for adoption or offering them to a client.
⸻
1. Initial Spiritual Contact: The Calling Phase
Many spirits I work with come through by what I call “the calling.” This is an intuitive pull, a dream visitation, a sudden energetic signature that appears in my space—sometimes during meditation, sometimes in ritual, and occasionally while I’m just living life. I don’t cold-conjure spirits on demand. Instead, I work only with those who seek connection first.
At this stage, I assess:
• Why the spirit is coming forward.
• What kind of energy they carry (light, shadow, balanced, chaotic, healing, protective, etc.).
• If they are genuinely seeking a human connection, or if there’s another reason they’ve made contact.
Only those who express genuine interest in human companionship proceed to the next level.
⸻
2. Ritual Conjuration & Binding Agreement
Once I’ve had sustained contact with the spirit, I create a sacred ritual space to initiate a formal conjuration. During this, I:
• Cast protective wards and invite my spiritual allies (especially my patrons like Hekate) to oversee the work.
• Offer an energetic “invitation” through sigils, offerings, and spoken conjurations.
• Request the spirit’s consent to enter into a companionable, safe, and mutually beneficial relationship with a future human keeper.
They must agree willingly—not through coercion, binding spells, or force. I also make it clear that if they ever decide they’re not a fit for human companionship, they’re free to decline.
⸻
3. Interviewing the Spirit
Yes—I actually interview the spirits.
I sit with them over several days or even weeks, conducting spirit-to-spirit conversations through clairaudience, divination (like tarot and pendulum), dreamwork, and automatic writing.
I ask:
• What are your core personality traits?
• What are your gifts, abilities, and strengths?
• What type of human would you ideally like to work with?
• Are you open to offering aid, protection, or partnership?
• What are your needs, expectations, and limits?
I take notes and cross-reference their answers over multiple sessions to ensure consistency and authenticity. Spirits, like people, can grow, change, or conceal parts of themselves. So I listen deeply and patiently.
⸻
4. Testing Their Energetic Signature
This is a crucial step.
I assess:
• Energy compatibility: Do they harmonize or conflict with my own energy?
• Spiritual safety: Do they hold parasitic, deceptive, or egoic tendencies?
• Boundaries and behavior: Are they respectful of my space and other spirits in my court? Do they accept boundaries that I set?
Sometimes I’ll place them in proximity to other beings in my spirit court and observe how they interact. I also watch how they affect the physical space around me—temperature shifts, tech disruptions, dreams, emotions, synchronicities, and bodily sensations.
If anything feels off, the conjuration is paused or severed.
⸻
5. Shadow Work and Full Disclosure
This part is non-negotiable: I work to uncover not only the spirit’s light aspects but also their shadow. Every being has duality, and it’s important for me to understand their full scope. I never hide a spirit’s dark side. Some spirits are fierce, intense, or morally gray—but still deeply loyal and trustworthy. Others may have complex pasts or strong energies that require experienced keepers.
If they’re the kind of being who will challenge a keeper’s wounds, they’ll be described that way.
Honesty in spirit listings is a part of my magickal ethics. I’ll never sugarcoat a being just to make a sale.
⸻
6. Creating a Spiritual Profile
After weeks (sometimes months) of connection, I create a spiritual profile or “soul sketch.” This may include:
• Their name and species/origin
• Age or how they perceive time
• Appearance (as they choose to reveal it)
• Personality traits
• Abilities, magickal specialties, and areas of influence
• Their purpose for seeking a keeper
• Ideal match (what kind of human they’d thrive with)
• Offerings they enjoy, preferences, and dislikes
• Any messages they wish to share with a future companion
This profile becomes the backbone of their listing and ensures the client knows exactly who they’re connecting with.
⸻
7. Divination for Matchmaking
Before finalizing any adoption, I use divination to ensure a match is meant to be. Whether I’m pairing a spirit with a specific client or listing them on my site, I pull cards or cast runes to ask:
• Will this spirit and this person grow well together?
• Is this a harmonious match, or are there spiritual warnings?
• Does this spirit’s path align with the keeper’s current life trajectory?
This helps prevent misalignment and fosters true companionship.
Be aware that 9 out of 10 times the spirit/entity has already made it clear they desire the connection it the purchase wouldn’t happen. They have their ways of hindering a purchase if the connection isn’t meant to be.
⸻
8. Ongoing Relationship After Adoption
My vetting doesn’t end when a spirit goes to their new keeper. I remain available to help both sides adjust. Spirits often evolve and reveal deeper aspects over time, and I welcome updates from clients to stay informed. If something ever feels off, I offer check-ins, rituals, and guidance.
Every adoption is a soul contract—and I honor that even after the listing is closed.
⸻
In Closing
Vettings aren’t just about keeping clients safe (though that’s critical)—they’re about honoring spirits as sovereign, sacred beings. Every spirit I offer has been met with reverence, honesty, and deep spiritual care. When you adopt from me, you’re not just buying a listing. You’re forming a relationship—with the spirit and with me as your conjurer, intermediary, and spiritual witness.
If you’re ever curious about a spirit, or if you’re ready to call in one of your own, know that I’ll be here—fully present, heart open, and magick rooted.
With love and light,
Jules Moon
